Why I Built Glialis
A few years back I was bouncing between apps for meals, a separate weight-tracking app, and another tool just for logging workouts—on top of a spreadsheet I updated by hand. I spent more time clicking through UIs than focusing on what mattered: getting stronger, feeling healthier, and enjoying the process.
As a software-engineering student, I kept asking myself:
We have autopilots that land rockets on the Moon—so why hasn’t there been a coach we can carry in our pocket, one that brings all our fitness, nutrition, and progress data together?
That question sparked a napkin sketch—intake forecasts, auto-refreshing nutrition data, adaptive targets powered by various machine learning engines—and turned into Glialis.
